Biblical Aramaic badges

Some Old Testament passages are Biblical Aramaic written in the same square script as Hebrew. ZVBible flags them on the Hebrew reader.

Ranges (implementation)

lib/aramaic.ts marks known scopes, including:

• Jeremiah 10:11
• Ezra blocks
• Daniel 2–7 (with mixed verses)

UI: components/AramaicBadge.tsx and per-word script choice in the Hebrew grapheme renderer.

What it means for study

• Text is still shown with the OT Hebrew pipeline (OSHB)
• Badge clarifies language, not a separate Aramaic corpus
• Full vs mixed verses are distinguished where the data marks word-level Aramaic
